Currently Dir Biyabir has 66 members. Membership fees are used to fund projects, so membership is our mechanism for broadening support for grassroots development activities in Ethiopia. If you support the vision and goals of Dir Biyabir, we invite you to join us by becoming a member. Membership is open to any interested person. Members are encouraged but not required to participate in Dir Biyabir activities and volunteer opportunities.

There are two levels of membership as outlined below. 100% of all proceeds from membership dues will go directly to support the current target projects. All administrative expenses of Dir Biyabir are covered by the executive officers so that all your donations and membership fees can directly support project work in Ethiopia. Membership dues ensure a certain minimum amount of financial support for grassroots projects in Ethiopia. Of course additional donations are needed, welcomed and appreciated.

Silver Member
A silver member pays dues of $50 per year (tax deductible) and qualifies for the following:

• Receive bi-annual status updates on Dir Biyabir sponsored projects as well as Dir Biyabir membership and financial status
• Volunteer opportunity to assist in any aspect of Dir Biyabir administration where assistance is required
• Contribute ideas for funding sources
• Opportunity to participate in fundraising and grant-writing efforts, and to assist officers in engaging with foundations on behalf of Dir Biyabir

Gold Member
A gold member pays dues of $100 per year (tax deductible) and qualifies for the following in addition to all the opportunities offered to the silver member:

• Ability to submit ideas for future grass-roots projects to support in Ethiopia
• Right to participate in pre-scheduled tours of project sites in Ethiopia

Renew Your Dir Biyabir Membership
We rely on the continued support of our members to fund our projects in Ethiopia. Membership is annual and can be paid any time within a calendar year, though we highly encourage our members to pay their dues in the first half of the calendar year. You can renew your membership by simply paying the membership dues for a given year in one of the following ways:
